This year (actually next month to be exact) I am turning thirty. I know, right? How did this happen? It just so happens that I have reached a point in my life where I am changing…a LOT. I am realizing things that I probably should have realized a long time ago, I am appreciating things that I probably should have appreciated a long time ago and I am going to start DOING things that I probably should have done a long time ago. So….I have decided that 30 is going to be my year. A “New Me at 30” if you will.

To start my “New Me at 30” off right I am exercising and eating healthier. It has been a solid month now since I started to exercise 3-4 times a week at the very least and it feels great. I mean, really amazing. I am sleeping better, I feel better overall and I have felt happier than I have in a long time.

I have no idea what the rest of this year is going to look like, where I will be at the end of it or who I will be, for that matter, all I know is that I am going to be happy. One way or the other.

Things are changing quickly in our house. Ben has started to stand up on his own now

And today…..he finally started to chew soft solid foods! So of course he had to have his first taste of spaghetti, which he ate all of AFTER dumping the plate all over the tray of his high chair!

We are counting down the days until we get to see everyone!!!!👍🏻

So….in between coats of paint in the bathroom, it was bath time for Ben

After the washing was all done, Ben decided that he was not done playing and wanted to stay in the bath for a little longer. Being the awesome parents that we are…..not only did we let him stay in the bath….we played with him as well. After Daddy put the washcloth on his head he gave him a look……but kept on playing 🙂

and right before it was time to get out….Mommy got the best picture ever:

Ben had his 9 month doctor visit today…….and boy has he grown!

Weight: 24 lbs 96th Percentile
Head Circumference: 47 cm 92nd Percentile

He is now crawling all over the place and throwing toys across the room! He is finally coming around to the idea that green foods are not that bad and has started eating peas….but he’s still not too sure about the green beans.

He has his two bottom front teeth and is working on his two top teeth 🙂

He knows who Dada and Mama are…..as well as his beloved Cheddar doggy!

He can’t wait for Grandma Culver and Papa to come out in July and spoil him!
